About Us

Hello! We’re Alyssa and Mark Love, the husband-and-wife team behind Austin Guest Portraits, where we create live watercolor portraits for guests at weddings, parties, and corporate events. This all started in 2020 with Alyssa’s solo business, Alyssa Love Art, where she paints romantic wedding scenes on canvas. One day in 2021, she had the idea to offer live guest portraits—and quickly roped in Mark, who has a natural talent for drawing. Mark draws each portrait and then Alyssa paints it, creating personalized keepsakes that guests can take home the same day.

To date we have now sketched at over 300 weddings and other events, with an estimated total of over 13,000 people sketched and painted!

For larger events or tighter timelines, we also work with a small team of hand-picked, talented artists—Jesse, Jeremy, Igor, Julia, and Naomi—who can be added on to help increase the number of portraits we’re able to complete during your event.

 

We live and create in our tiny house in beautiful Wimberley, Texas (just outside Austin), with our spoiled rotten tabby cat, Music, always nearby.
