You're probably wondering...

Do you work from a photo or do people have to stand and pose?

We snap a picture of your guests and work from that, so that they can get back to the party! We keep a precise timesheet of each photo with the guest's name so there is no confusion. Using the timesheet we can even tell each guest exactly when their portrait will be ready for pickup!

How many portraits can you do in a given time?

Each person takes a total for four minutes to finish. So if you hire the two of us for five hours, for example, this works out to 75 guests. If you choose to add another artist, obviously these numbers go up. Please contact us and we can give you specific numbers that are customized for your event!

What does it cost to have you at our event?

Our packages start at $1,400 with options to add extra artists and/or additional hours. Please contact us for a custom quote for your event, including any travel fees that might apply (Austin-area events won't have travel fees).

Do you travel outside

of Austin?

Absolutely! In addition to traveling all over Texas we've done weddings in Chicago, Phoenix, Oregon, New England, New York, and even Puerto Rico! We love to travel. Let us know where and when your event will be and we can get you a customized quote that includes our travel fees.

Why don't you draw faces?

It's faster and it looks better! Not only does skipping facial features give us more time to draw more guests, we think the portraits end up looking much better. Quick renditions of eyes, mouths, and noses never really look like the person, in our opinion, so it's better to let the imagination fill them in. It might surprise you to hear how often people easily recognize the guests we've drawn, just from their clothing, shapes, and body language.

What will you need at the event as far as set-up?

We can be very flexible and fully self-contained if needed but we have learned a few things over the years about the sort of setup that creates the best results for everyone. Visit the Our Setup page for more about this

Can you make me look skinny?

Yes, if you want. But we think you're absolutely beautiful already. :)
